Responsibilities

• Perform various research and clinical technical operations related to ongoing investigatory activities of a laboratory.
• Assist in conducting specialized research for specific phases of projects.
• Participate in the development of performance standards and selection of methodology and instrumentation.
• Coordinate analytical, biochemical, physiology, and instrumentation functions with clinical and research areas.
• Conduct behavioral and pharmacological experiments in rodents to delineate mechanisms underlying opioid abuse.
• Develop novel therapeutic approaches to prevent addiction propensity during chronic administration of prescription opioids.
• Utilize specialized computer skills in COBOL, JAVA, and other programming languages to analyze laboratory data.
• Analyze, organize, and present data at laboratory meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 3 years of experience in a research setting.
• Proficiency in conducting behavioral and pharmacological experiments in rodents.
• Experience with data analysis using programming languages such as COBOL and JAVA.
• Familiarity with databases such as JCL, SQL, and DB2.
