About the position

The Research Associate - II position involves developing and validating bioassays to support biological drug development. The role requires planning and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with senior personnel to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate bioassays to support biological drug development.
  • Plan and execute assigned experiments that support Process Development activities and project goals.
  • Proactively seek out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
  • Participate in group meetings to share test results.
  • Recognize anomalous and inconsistent results and interpret experimental outcomes.
  • Develop skills in data analysis and evaluate the quality of data.
  • Operate scientific equipment such as Plate readers and Softmax software for ELISA and cell culture techniques.
  • Select appropriate methods and techniques to perform experiments and prepare related reports.
  • Plan and organize details of experiments with guidance.
  • Demonstrate good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to provide insight into processes used to achieve results.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with a BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience with an MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Basic understanding of ELISA and cell-based assays.
  • Experience in data analysis using SoftMax Pro software and graphic display of data using Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Flow cytometry (minimum 4 years).
  • Experience in process development (minimum 4 years).
