About the position

The Research Associate II position focuses on supporting downstream process development in protein purification. This role is essential for the pre-pivotal purification and pilot operations group, requiring a motivated and team-oriented individual to execute tasks that enhance purification operations. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and safety in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned tasks that support downstream purification operations.
• Monitor and evaluate purification process performance data, report and present findings.
• Proactively seek out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
• Participate in group meetings and present results, data interpretation, and conclusions.
• Demonstrate strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, explaining processes used to achieve results.
• Work with a team-oriented, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
• Always prioritize safety in all operations.

Requirements

• Familiarity with downstream purification processes, including centrifugation, chromatography, and filtration.
• Hands-on experience with AKTA, tangential flow filtration, and depth filtration is preferred.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), technology transfer, and scaling up bioprocesses is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent technical writing skills and strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and enjoy scientific investigation and thinking.
