About the position

The Research Associate position in Gilead's Oncology in vivo pharmacology team focuses on evaluating novel oncology therapeutics using pre-clinical mouse models. The role involves hands-on experience with these models, data analysis, and collaboration with project teams to support oncology research programs.

Responsibilities

• Daily study support for in vivo pharmacology studies including dosing, measuring tumors, and collecting tissues.
• Pre-clinical model development and characterization.
• Accurate and timely record keeping and data analysis of in vivo data.
• Work closely with project teams to design in vivo studies.
• Cell culture operations and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• BS with 0-2 years of hands-on experience or equivalent work experience with murine models of cancer, inflammation, and/or immunology.
• Experience with various mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, and blood collection.
• Working knowledge of laboratory animal equipment and supplies, and personal protective equipment requirements for various bio-safety levels.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and plan studies and execute day-to-day responsibilities with minimum supervision.
• Experience with in vivo imaging is desired.
• Experience with cell culture is desired.
• Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
