About the position
The Research Associate (Molecular) position involves assisting scientific staff in conducting laboratory research and experiments. The role focuses on molecular biology techniques and data analysis, contributing to the organization and presentation of research findings.
Responsibilities
- Assist scientific staff in carrying out research assignments involving various laboratory methods, equipment, and procedures.
- Conduct basic laboratory bench experiments.
- Participate in the analysis and organization of data for presentations.
- Write experimental summaries and technical reports for own data.
- Complete paperwork by assigned completion dates.
- Carry out assigned laboratory tasks.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory notebooks.
- Operate lab equipment and perform routine maintenance and/or repair.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant BS science degree.
- 1 year of experience in molecular biology.
- Familiarity with PCR, nucleic acid extraction, serial dilutions, human specimen handling, and aseptic technique.
- Data analysis skills.
