The associate will support program and research intervention development by collaborating with research staff to create intervention protocol materials for grant-supported studies. This includes maintaining a management information system for ongoing projects, facilitating fieldwork, and assisting with data collection. The role also involves designing assessment materials for curricula and related resources, preparing technical reports, and coding qualitative survey data. Office support tasks such as maintaining files, assisting in grant proposal preparation, and managing field data collection are also part of the responsibilities. Overall, the Public Health Research Associate will contribute to the success of research initiatives by providing essential support in various capacities, ensuring that the projects are executed efficiently and effectively, and that the outcomes contribute to the broader goals of public health improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grant-funded study intervention development and training.
• Manage and coordinate research activities focused on the opioid crisis.

Requirements

• Master's degree in criminal justice, health education, communication, health behavior, psychology, or other health services research fields and 2 years' experience in health behavior or health services research.
• OR Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, health education, communication, health behavior, psychology, or other health services research fields and 4 years' experience in health behavior or health services research.
• Experience providing counseling services and/or assisting in the management of research projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Training on use of data for organizational evaluation and feedback.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
