Responsibilities

• Conduct simulations using model PnET-CN daily to understand processes and conditions driving recent changes in nutrient cycling at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, NH.
• Conduct simulations using model PnET-BGC to project changes in nutrient cycling at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, NH under future scenarios of climate change and air quality.
• Conduct simulations using model PnET-BGC to evaluate past and project future changes in nutrient cycling at the Great Smoky Mountain National Park under past observations of conditions and future scenarios of climate change and air quality.

Requirements

• PhD in Environmental Engineering.
• Experience in environmental modeling and watershed modeling, coding, and data analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with the models PnET-CN daily and PnET-BGC.
• Environmental data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Familiarity with literature on nutrient cycling in forest ecosystems, watershed biogeochemical process modeling, and climate and air pollution effects on forest ecosystems.
