About the position

We are currently seeking a Research Coordinator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology located at Endeavor Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time position is essential for the successful execution of a randomized control trial of breastfeeding peer counseling (BPC) taking place at Endeavor Highland Park Hospital. The role requires the Research Coordinator to assist with the development of study documents and submission/reporting to the Institutional Review Board. The position will involve managing daily research activities in collaboration with a Research Assistant and a multi-site study team, ensuring that all aspects of the study are conducted efficiently and effectively. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating regular meetings and communications with clinical team members at Highland Park Hospital and prenatal recruitment sites. This includes recruiting patients from clinical sites during pregnancy and maintaining communication with patients and research team members across multiple sites. The role also involves conducting study assessments with research participants, managing patient tracking and study activities in a study database, and entering data into electronic databases. The Coordinator will manipulate resulting data and present it in various formats, creating reports of study progress and maintaining organized and detailed records of all study activities. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining study supplies and performing scientific literature searches as required. This position is based in Evanston, IL, with required weekly travel to Highland Park Hospital and other Endeavor sites as needed. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, making it a full-time role that is benefits eligible.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong people skills required.
  • Experience in a research environment required.
  • Some data management experience required.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English speaking strongly preferred.
