About the position

The Research Coordinator I for Infectious Diseases will support multiple health services research and communication grants, focusing on projects related to HIV prevention and care, as well as health disparities. The role involves organizing project meetings, maintaining research protocols, recruiting participants, and conducting qualitative research activities.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and leads weekly project team meetings, including drafting agendas and presenting data.
  • Submits and maintains IRB research protocols, including renewals and amendments.
  • Carries out compliance-related tasks, such as maintaining records and performing internal audits of regulatory documents.
  • Advertises, screens, and recruits research participants through community engagement and outreach.
  • Explains research processes and procedures to educate participants.
  • Collects patient information and enters it into a computerized database or report form.
  • Schedules research participants for interviews, surveys, and other activities related to the research protocol.
  • Conducts qualitative interviews and performs rapid analysis of qualitative data.
  • Administers surveys in various settings, including clinics and community spaces.
  • May conduct literature reviews and assist in manuscript and grant preparation.
  • Orders supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned, including managing finances and research data.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA).
