About the position
The Research Coordinator II in Pediatrics Neonatology at UTHealth Houston plays a crucial role in managing research projects aimed at improving the lives of infants and families. Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day project management coordination for research projects, including personnel, facilities, and supplies.
- Assists in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals for private foundations and governmental agencies.
- Prepares budgets and initiates re-budgeting requests based on research staff needs.
- Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Prepares draft reports and communications for departmental leadership.
- Interacts with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.
- Provides administrative direction and guidance to administrative staff personnel within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.
- Two years of relevant experience, with the possibility of substituting experience with equivalent education.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
