About the position

The Research Data Analyst 3 at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is responsible for developing data collection instruments, managing data, and conducting statistical analyses to support global health research initiatives, particularly in tuberculosis elimination. This role involves collaboration with biostatisticians and project staff, focusing on both quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis within various international health projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data collection instruments for research projects.
  • Collect and organize quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Train project staff on data collection methods.
  • Manage data using Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) or similar programs.
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians to execute data analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, or a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3+ years of directly relevant work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of research functions and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical programs including STATA or R, and MS Excel.
  • Experience with data management programs like REDCap.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in epidemiology, public health, or implementation science.
  • Experience working on international collaborations and field experience.
  • Knowledge of implementation science methods and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in qualitative data design and analysis.
