About the position

The Research Data Analyst 3 position at ACORD Solutions Group is a part-time role focused on evaluation research for the California Department of Public Health's Tobacco Control Program. The incumbent will collaborate with a team to develop data collection instruments, create online tracking systems, and analyze data for various clients, including over 100 local health departments in California. Responsibilities include designing evaluation plans, conducting research activities, performing statistical analyses, providing training and technical support, and presenting findings both locally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop data collection instruments and online tracking systems.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data for multiple clients.
• Design evaluation plans and conduct evaluation research activities.
• Perform statistical analyses and produce technical reports.
• Provide training and technical support to stakeholders.
• Present project findings in local and national venues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience working with priority populations such as American Indian, African American/Black, LGBTQ, Asian Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, and Low SES.
• Demonstrated experience in formulating and conducting research or evaluation studies.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
• Expertise in analyzing and writing technical research and evaluation materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior educational background in public health, evaluation, business, social science, or a related field.
• Spanish language skills.
