The Research Data Analyst position at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) involves working within the Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) to support the Bone Marrow Transplant clinical program. This role is crucial for meeting data reporting obligations to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Research (CIBMTR) as part of the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database (SCTOD) and to the Northwest Marrow Transplant Program (NWMTP). The primary responsibility of the Bone Marrow Transplant Registry Coordinator 1 is to identify, prepare, and submit hematopoietic stem cell transplant-related data. This data is gathered through medical chart reviews from referring providers, queries of program physicians, and OHSU's electronic medical records. In addition to data submission, the Registry Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting with internal audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data submissions. The position may also involve assisting with data analyses and transplant research-related activities, contributing to the overall mission of the CHM in improving patient outcomes through effective data management and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of independent work. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as the coordinator will interact with various stakeholders, including medical staff and external organizations. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly those running on Windows, is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role is designed for individuals who are energetic, driven, and possess a strong customer service orientation, ensuring that all interactions are handled with tact and diplomacy.
