About the position

The Research Data Analyst - Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) at the Bloomberg School of Public Health will focus on data management, analysis, and reporting to support quality improvement initiatives in New Jersey's early childhood home visiting programs. This role involves collaboration with local partners to interpret and utilize data effectively, ensuring that quality improvement efforts are informed by robust data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze administrative datasets, ensuring data quality through cleaning and restructuring.
  • Collaborate with New Jersey partners to update quarterly CQI dashboards with relevant measures.
  • Conduct descriptive statistics and basic statistical analyses using Stata.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for datasets.
  • Organize and ensure data files are current and accessible.
  • Identify systematic issues with data and propose solutions in collaboration with the team.
  • Coordinate ongoing quality improvement work with JHU team and NJ partners.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with early childhood home visiting programs to discuss quality improvement data.
  • Build rapport with program partners and collect information on quality improvement topics.
  • Interpret and present quality improvement data in various formats, including reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to writing and reviewing reports, publications, and grant proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of data security and compliance protocols and contribute to IRB applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Three years of related experience in data analysis or quality improvement.
  • Proficiency in Stata and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with quality improvement principles and methods.
  • Proficiency in additional software packages such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
  • Experience in planning and facilitating group discussions or coaching individuals.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $48,000 - $84,100 annually, commensurate with experience.
