About the position

The Research Data Analyst II position at CalPERS is responsible for providing project management and analytical support for the Health Rates Development Services Unit. This role is crucial in ensuring that CalPERS meets its goals of improving healthcare quality, access, and affordability for its members. The analyst will work under the supervision of the Research Data Supervisor II and will be involved in the annual Rate Development Process, which impacts over 1.5 million members.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and analytical support for the Health Rates Development Services Unit.
• Assist in the annual Rate Development Process (RDP) for health plan premiums.
• Analyze healthcare data to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met.
• Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with data analysis techniques.
• Ability to work independently under general direction.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Driver's License.
