About the position

The position involves developing computer code for running and analyzing closed-loop neural recording and stimulation experiments. The role requires collaboration with scientists, physicians, and engineers to transform complex requirements into software, as well as assisting with behavioral and stimulation experiments. The candidate will also be responsible for analyzing, curating, and debugging codes, integrating software solutions, and managing scientific analysis codebases.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with faculty mentor to determine training agenda.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a research project.
  • Prepare and present data to study investigators.
  • Author, co-author, and otherwise collaborate on reports, conference papers and journal articles.
  • Prepare postdoctoral fellowship and grant applications.
  • Supervise research assistants and laboratory personnel.

Requirements

  • B.A/B.S. with 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, computer science, neuroscience with a strong quantitative focus, or related field or a combination of education and experience to equal 6 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with clinical data analysis
  • Experience with high dimensional data analysis
  • Experience with neurophysiological data (MEG/EEG, fMRI, single neurons)
