The Research/Database Analyst position at Marian University plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience of students by providing high-quality, reliable data and information that supports institutional planning, assessment, and decision-making processes. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local mandates while promoting the university's mission and core values. The analyst will be responsible for gathering, assembling, analyzing, and organizing relevant institutional data and metrics in response to various requests for information. This includes coordinating with IT and other functional areas to ensure the proper integration of software products within the university's systems. In addition to data analysis, the Research/Database Analyst will run reports, labels, and surveys for various constituents, including IPEDS and NSC. The position requires the maintenance of proficiency in PowerCampus and Microsoft Excel, as well as the ability to initiate, deliver, and maintain surveys throughout the year, preparing analyses of the results. The analyst will also assist in preparing for accreditation reviews and compiling and analyzing other statistics, while educating information producers, users, and consumers about data usage and best practices. The role involves cross-training with support specialists in other offices to provide comprehensive support across the institution and participating in campus-wide committees as appropriate.
