About the position

The Research Editor will join the Due Diligence team at Dow Jones, focusing on creating high-quality reports on companies and individuals using publicly available sources and proprietary databases. The role emphasizes ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting, contributing to guidelines and tools, and supporting various projects within the Data Strategy team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reports are timely, complete, and accurate.
  • Summarize complex information from another language into English.
  • Compile and summarize information from multiple sources and ensure clarity and conciseness.
  • Perform testing of new or enhanced system and product functionality.
  • Support training of future staff members.
  • Contribute to both team and product-initiated projects.
  • Support R&C with translation services as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, Hebrew, Dutch, Nordic languages, Russian, Arabic.
  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics.
  • Strong research skills, including proficiency with online search tools.
  • Openness to different views and opinions and appreciation for team diversity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in the field of Due Diligence.
  • Specialized legal, business, or financial knowledge.
