The ideal candidate will have experience in vision models and general AI, and will work on building contextually aware AI systems that will redefine how we interact with computers. This role involves collaboration with a diverse and interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners, providing access to cutting-edge technology, resources, and research facilities. The Research Engineer will be responsible for developing models that estimate underlying 3D properties from 2D observations, working with articulated object models and various optical models, and contributing to automated systems and data annotation engines. Additionally, the role includes training and optimizing large transformer models, which are crucial for advancing AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build models that can estimate underlying 3D properties from 2D observations.
  • Work with articulated object models and various optical models.
  • Build and contribute to automated systems and data annotation engines.
  • Train and optimize large transformers models.

Requirements

  • Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in the field of Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
