About the position

The Research Evaluation Analyst at Tuskegee University is a full-time role focused on establishing methods to monitor and evaluate various policies and programs. This position requires strong research skills, experience in both quantitative and qualitative research design, and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities within evaluation teams. The analyst will contribute to the dissemination of research findings and support stakeholders in translating evaluation results into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Support research and evaluation projects and teams.
  • Assist in the creation of data collection material and development of research-defined questions.
  • Conduct or validate interviews with clients and facilitate focus groups.
  • Perform statistical analysis or sampling and contribute to the dissemination of research through reports, manuscripts, publications, and websites.
  • Collect, analyze, maintain, and manage data; perform research and literature reviews to abstract, scrub, and validate data.
  • Produce high-quality, innovative, and effective evaluations to increase understanding of policy impacts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to improve the quality and standard of evaluations.
  • Encourage innovative methods and approaches in evaluations to enhance their use and influence.
  • Help stakeholders translate evidence and evaluation results into practical actions.
  • Lead, manage, and produce evaluations while ensuring quality assurance.
  • Communicate and share monitoring and evaluation findings, knowledge, and expertise.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. Degree from an accredited college or university in social sciences, information systems, or a related degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Experience working with statistical and survey software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical/visual analytics tools.
