The Research Finance Analyst position at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) involves providing comprehensive analytical, financial, and training support for contract and grant proposal development, grant-writing, funding administration, and budget development. This role encompasses a variety of activities including pre-award proposal initiatives, management of funds post-award, and closeout activities for federal, state, local, and private sponsors. In addition, the Research Finance Analyst will be responsible for negotiating, administering, and monitoring contract and grant awards, ensuring compliance with regulations, terms, and conditions. Financial management and reporting are key components of this role, along with the issuance and administration of sub-awards and subcontracts. The position requires a strong understanding of grant funding processes, applicable regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles, as well as the ability to draft persuasive texts for various audiences.
