The Center for Veterans Research and Education (CVRE) is seeking a Research Health Coach to support innovative research and education initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of Veterans. The RAMP Research Health Coach will play a crucial role in delivering a telehealth program that teaches mind-body skills to Veterans, helping them manage chronic pain more effectively. This program emphasizes the connection between the mind and body, providing Veterans with tools and strategies to cope with pain through a structured coaching approach. The RAMP program involves collaboration with a health coach to create personalized plans based on individual goals, followed by 11 facilitated group sessions that include education and training. This initiative is funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) at the National Institute of Health (NIH). Additionally, the VAntage Research Health Coach will assist in delivering intervention phone calls as part of the Veteran Social Support Intervention for Enhancing Smoking Treatment Utilization and Cessation (VAntage Support) project. This project evaluates the role of social support networks in enhancing cessation treatment utilization among Veteran smokers, particularly those who may not otherwise seek treatment. The position requires adherence to ethical standards and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations governing research with human subjects.
