Responsibilities

  • Identify research problems, establish study designs, and summarize findings for dissemination.
  • Collaborate with USGS programs and other agencies to develop and apply operational hydrologic remote sensing datasets.
  • Provide assistance with methods for projects, data analysis, proposal preparation, and scientific presentations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be suitable for Federal employment as determined by a background investigation.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical exam.
  • Basic education requirement: a bachelor's degree in physical or natural science, or engineering with specific coursework in hydrology and related fields.
  • For GS-12: One year of professional experience in hydrology equivalent to GS-11 level or a Ph.D. in a related field.
