About the position
GTI Energy has an opportunity for an Intern that will assist in the execution of various research projects in our Low Carbon Energy Solutions group. The qualified candidate will assist with research, data analysis, and project development. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in hydrogen storage and support research efforts that drive real-world applications in clean energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research related to emerging technology demonstrations that could impact or improve hydrogen market dynamics and infrastructure needs.
- Support development and analysis of technical documentation, research reports, and data visualizations.
- Assist with data collection and analysis from lab experiments and simulation studies related to underground storage research.
- Assist with literature searches on new technologies and contribute to data gathering and GIS mapping.
- Assist with geologic and infrastructure modeling tasks, data integration, and analysis.
- Assist in the development of tools and templates to drive increased engagement with collaborative stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Undergraduate/Graduate actively enrolled in a curriculum focused on Engineering, Geosciences, Data Science, or a related technical field preferred.
- Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and an interest in clean energy technologies and research.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of subsurface modeling and analysis (reservoir engineering, geological modeling) is a plus.
