About the position

The Research Intern position at Cedars-Sinai's Ramin Lab offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to engage in epidemiologic research focused on the long-term effects of breast cancer treatment. Interns will work under the guidance of Dr. Ramin, gaining hands-on experience in statistical programming, epidemiological analysis, scientific writing, and presentation skills. Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted literature reviews to synthesize results from existing studies on the long-term effects of breast cancer treatment, identifying important research gaps.
• Develop skills in statistical programming and perform simple epidemiological analyses.
• Communicate research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions effectively through scientific writing and presentations.
• Participate in weekly meetings with Dr. Ramin to discuss research progress and goals.
• Engage in a culminating project that involves drafting a scientific manuscript and/or poster based on internship findings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must reside in the greater Los Angeles area or surrounding cities during the internship.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week on-site (remote work can be considered for specific tasks).
• Interns must be eligible to receive academic credit for the duration of the internship.
• Visitors must be funded by an eligible sponsoring institution (e.g., employer, educator, funder).
