About the position

The Research & Knowledge Analyst plays a crucial role in the Research Services Department, responsible for organizing and disseminating information to meet the practice needs of the firm and its clients. This position involves managing information resources, coordinating training events, and supporting the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, while reporting directly to the Director of Research Services and Knowledge Management.

Responsibilities

• Create onboarding password packages for new attorneys and staff.
• Off-board departing attorneys and staff from the research vendor password lists.
• Assist users with password issues.
• Maintain SharePoint Portal Pages, including design and updates.
• Check links on the department's portal page regularly.
• Update relevant information such as search tips and passwords.
• Assist with the maintenance of the CLE portal page.
• Coordinate the research services training program for the department.
• Maintain statistics on training classes and attendance.
• Calendar tasks for training events.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of new attorneys and paralegals.
• Conduct in-depth research for various practice areas and package findings clearly.
• Monitor daily news, legislative, and regulatory developments.
• Evaluate new research resources and tools.
• Maintain knowledge of the firm's online and print resources.
• Assist users with eFiling and eRecording tasks and passwords.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (MLS) in Information or Library Science (ALA accredited preferred).
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Lexis and/or Westlaw.
• Familiarity with a wide range of legal and business research platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
