About the position
The Research Lab Technician will support scientists, engineers, and research teams by assisting in daily lab operations and research and development projects. This role is essential for meeting development requirements within corporate timelines and involves various laboratory tasks.
Responsibilities
- Preparing reagents and/or media
- Loading/unloading samples from small scale machinery and equipment
- Loading/unloading and operating autoclave
- Cleaning lab glassware
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment
- Inventory and stocking of lab supplies
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Biomanufacturing, or a related field of study
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a lab environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of lab record keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to listen to instruction, learn quickly, and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and handheld electronic batch record software
