The Research Laboratory Technician II position at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center offers an exciting opportunity to work in a leading cancer research environment. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Amir Goldkorn, a prominent medical oncologist and physician-scientist, and will collaborate closely with the Liquid Biopsy Core Manager and other team members. In this role, the technician will be responsible for coordinating the receipt of blood specimens, processing and analyzing these samples, and cataloging the results. The technician will also be involved in developing novel liquid biopsy analysis techniques, contributing to the advancement of precision oncology. The position requires a solid foundation in laboratory techniques, particularly in molecular biology, and a passion for innovative research in cancer treatment. Candidates should be prepared to engage in a dynamic research environment that combines clinical relevance with cutting-edge scientific methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a cancer biology setting. Proficiency in tissue culture, PCR, and other essential cell and molecular biology techniques is crucial.
