About the position

The Research Nurse Coordinator/Educator at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is responsible for training, education, and quality assurance for staff involved in clinical research at the Child Health Research Institute. This role includes developing training materials, conducting peer reviews of clinical studies, and coordinating patient care during clinical trials, particularly in pediatrics. The coordinator plays a critical role in managing complex decisions and regulatory requirements associated with research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while facilitating the mission of UNMC and CHRI investigators.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training materials and instructional documents for clinical research staff.
  • Conduct periodic collaborative reviews of peers' clinical studies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate patient care and treatment during clinical research trials.
  • Manage complex decisions and regulatory requirements for each research protocol.
  • Facilitate the mission of UNMC and CHRI investigators in pediatric clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state.
  • Experience in clinical research and pediatric care.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop training materials and standard operating procedures.

  • Familiarity with pediatric clinical trials.
