About the position

As a Research Perception Scientist in the Robot Perception team at Bright Machines, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative algorithms that enhance industrial automation. This position focuses on research and development of advanced software technologies in computer vision and machine learning, aimed at solving significant challenges in the manufacturing sector. You will collaborate with other scientists and contribute to publications and patents, making impactful changes in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and prototype advanced software technologies in Robotics, 3D reconstruction, Structure from Motion, calibration, large scale optimization, machine perception and deep learning.
  • Analyze and improve performance, accuracy, and robustness of the solutions currently deployed.
  • Communicate with other scientists and the company, brainstorming and contributing to publications and patents.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Programming language experience with C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience with statistical analysis of data and mathematical modeling.
  • Experience developing machine learning, multi-view geometry, convex optimization, and physics-based algorithms.
  • Publications at leading conferences such as CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICRA, IROS, SIGGRAPH.
  • Excellent communication skills.
