About the position

The Research Program Assistant will support the Department of Neurology by coordinating patient data collection and processing in the Center for CSF Disorders. This role involves working closely with physicians and research staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to confidentiality regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the collection, distribution, and processing of patient data in the Vestibular and ocular motor research (VOR) laboratory.
  • Support the conduct of the VOR lab, including scheduling and preparing for patient visits.
  • Assist in the collection of data from study participants and processing of that data.
  • Distribute collected results to various collaborators and assist with data clarification.
  • Coordinate assessments by physicians and VOR lab members during clinic and procedural visits.
  • Assist in the setup of procedures and reporting of data to physicians and research coordinators.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to develop and implement data collection protocols for quality control.
  • Act as a liaison between clinic staff and patients as needed.
  • Uphold strict adherence to patient information confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent, with some college courses preferred.
  • Some related experience in a research or clinical setting.

  • Experience in a medical or research environment.
  • Familiarity with data collection protocols and quality control processes.
