About the position

The Research Program Lead at Arkansas Children's Research Institute will oversee project implementation and manage operational databases while ensuring regulatory compliance. This role involves contributing to grant proposals, providing program administration support, and preparing documentation to communicate research findings and updates to various audiences. The position focuses on leading the Respiratory Microbiome research program, which investigates how microbial communities in the respiratory tract affect infection susceptibility and severity in children.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project implementation and monitor project progress.
  • Develop and manage operational databases and program management tools.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals.
  • Prepare annual and periodic data reports for programs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for program activities.
  • Participate in writing, editing, and formatting abstracts, posters, presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, event planning, and marketing communications.
  • Supervise clinical research staff, laboratory technicians, and other trainees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of laboratory-based sciences.
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
