About the position

The Research Program Manager at UAMS will oversee the daily operations of the College of Nursing Research Support Office, ensuring effective management of research projects and staff. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to facilitate grant submissions and manage funding processes. The position also includes budget management and coordination of research-related meetings and programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the College of Nursing Research Support Office.
• Supervise research staff under the direction of the Associate Dean of Research.
• Manage research projects and liaise with partners across CON, UAMS, and external collaborators.
• Provide grants submission and pre-award grants management support.
• Oversee the grants post-award team in the College of Nursing.
• Manage the CON Intramural Grants Program and coordinate research development meetings.
• Coordinate support for the CON PhD program under the direction of the PhD Program Director.
• Manage the ADR research budget and coordinate research business processes.

Requirements

• Experience in research management and operations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Knowledge of grant submission and management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a clinical research environment.
• Familiarity with budget management and financial oversight.
• Previous experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
