About the position
The Research Program Manager at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is responsible for leading and directing grant-funded projects. This role involves collaboration with leadership and faculty to develop and support activities funded by external grants, particularly those from federal agencies. The position requires a strong understanding of extramural funding and compliance with federal requirements, ensuring that all study documents and protocols are meticulously followed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and leadership on the development of grant-funded projects.
- Collaborate with leadership and faculty to outline and support grant-funded activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements such as CDC, HHS, NIH, and HRSA.
- Develop and follow study documents, SOPs, instruments, and other necessary documentation according to study protocols.
- Work closely with the Senior Research Program Director and Principal Investigator to track research outcomes.
- Identify and address issues related to meeting milestones, compliance, protocol deviations, and data quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business, public administration, applied social science, anthropology, sociology, health care administration, or a related field.
- Experience in working with extramural funding, particularly federal funding requirements.
