About the position

The Research Programmer Analyst 2 position at the Immunology Center of Gia involves curating and validating data for two NIH funded consortia, specifically the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Centers (MMPC) and the Diabetic Complications Consortium (DCC). The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data collected, while also facilitating data capture, cleaning, and validation processes. This position is integral to supporting the research initiatives aimed at developing novel treatments for various diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Curate data and content for the Diabetic Complications Consortium, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Maintain data providence while facilitating data capture, data cleaning, and data validation for the Diabetic Complications Consortium.
  • Curate data and content for the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Maintain data providence while facilitating data capture, data cleaning, and data validation for the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bioinformatics training and experience in developing algorithms and analytic approaches for genomic and proteomic data analysis and integration.
