The Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences at West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to contribute to a USDA-NIFA funded project aimed at expanding nutrition student competency in telehealth to improve diet and prevent chronic disease in adults with obesity. This role is pivotal in supporting the research efforts by assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) and the study team in planning, coordinating, and executing various activities related to the project. The Research Project Coordinator will be responsible for project planning and implementation, which includes developing protocols and workflows, recruiting participants, scheduling, and collecting data using RedCap software. Additionally, the coordinator will be involved in the recruitment of study sites and managing purchasing and requisitions related to the project. The position requires coordination of multiple data collection efforts, which may involve collaboration with other agencies or institutions. The Research Project Coordinator will also develop and manage interim reports for the principal investigators and the institutional review board, ensuring that each project progresses toward timely completion. Acting as a liaison between the project team and significant parties, the coordinator will ensure successful execution of projects within the designated time frames to meet research objectives. Furthermore, the role includes assisting with the writing and dissemination of study components, research results, and presentations, as well as creating patient education documents and content for social media and websites.
