About the position

The GME Research Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating multiple assigned scholarly activity and research project timelines throughout all lifecycle phases. This role involves providing assistance in the development of scholarly activity and research-related documents. The coordinator will work closely and effectively with physician principal investigators, residents, fellows, research directors, and other members of the scholarly support team, as well as multiple internal clients. The position requires a strong understanding of the healthcare environment and the ability to navigate scholarly activity pathways in Graduate Medical Education (GME). The coordinator will also contribute to the development of training, tools, and process documentation for both the department and assigned projects. Analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively are essential for success in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the coordinator must effectively communicate with all levels of staff and stakeholders. Familiarity with statistical software and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite are also necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple assigned scholarly activity and research project timelines throughout all lifecycle phases.
  • Assist in the development of scholarly activity and research-related documents.
  • Work closely with physician principal investigators, residents, fellows, and research directors.
  • Contribute to the development of training, tools, and process documentation for the department and assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with HCA data access policy and procedures.
  • Create and deliver effective presentations to various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in a research-related field of study required; Master's Degree highly preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of project management experience required; clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience in a health services research environment is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, WebEx) required.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, Tableau, or Python) is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, Tableau, or Python) or coursework in Biostatistics is preferred.
