The Research Project Coordinator position is integral to the interdisciplinary research team within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Northwestern University. This role involves managing the daily operations of a biomedical research study, which includes collaboration with colleagues, sponsors, and other external project stakeholders. The coordinator is responsible for monitoring study performance, analyzing and reviewing results, and supervising the development and implementation of new protocols. This includes assigning work to study staff and ensuring that all technical operations adhere to quality control standards and protocols. The coordinator will also develop, implement, and administer budgets, grant applications, and administrative procedures. Additionally, the role may involve co-authoring scientific papers for presentation and publication, as well as coordinating the writing, submission, and administration of grants. It is crucial that all study activities comply with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and all relevant local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines established by the Northwestern University Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
