About the position

The Research Project Manager III at Henry Ford Health is responsible for independently managing complex research projects from initiation to completion. This role involves collaboration with leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations of team members, and providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, ensuring successful execution of research studies and special projects within the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of large studies or multiple small-medium research projects from start-up to closeout.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of team members working on studies or projects.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
• Assist in the development of new programs or special projects within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and nine years of relevant experience, including at least four years of research experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with four years of relevant experience and competency, including at least two years of research experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing small to moderate-sized projects.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice-to-haves

• CAP-M or PMI Project Management Professional certification or similar preferred.
• Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification preferred.
