About the position

The Research Revenue Cycle Billing Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of hospital and physician service charges related to clinical trials, research, and grants. This position involves analyzing clinical documentation and coding to differentiate between research-related and standard-of-care activities, resolving billing issues, and collaborating with clinical research departments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily reviews of hospital and physician service charges related to clinical trials, research, and grants.
  • Differentiate between research-related and standard-of-care activities by analyzing clinical documentation and coding.
  • Resolve issues related to clinical trials, grants, claims, customer service, and collections using analytical skills.
  • Utilize medical records and billing data to correct charge edits for efficient processing.
  • Maintain expertise in CPT, Modifiers, ICD, and PCS codes to support billing and compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical research departments and serve as a go-to resource for research-related activities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, required.
  • A CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, or CPB certification, required.

Nice-to-haves

  • CHONC certification and Hematology/Oncology billing experience, highly desired.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $76,200-$158,800/annually
