About the position

The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College is seeking a Research Scientist/Analyst to join the Department of Epidemiology. This position involves working under the supervision of senior faculty members to conduct statistical analyses that are crucial to the department's research initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for data preparation, processing, and modeling, tailored to the specific nature of the data being analyzed. This role will also require the preparation of comprehensive reports detailing the methods employed and the results obtained from the analyses. The tasks assigned will stem from various sub-projects linked to the Department's extensive research portfolio, particularly focusing on the environmental effects on maternal and child health. The data types that the candidate will work with include health survey responses, medical notes extraction, biologic samples, measurements from devices, and various 'omics data. This diversity in data types necessitates a strong analytical background and the ability to adapt to different data processing requirements. In addition to statistical analysis, the responsibilities of this position will include writing code to perform the required analyses, documenting the analysis process and results meticulously, and engaging in discussions about the findings with supervisors and the broader research team as appropriate. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work on a flexible schedule, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout all tasks.

Requirements
