About the position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Research Scientist Associate to join the Potency Group within Cell Therapy Analytical Development. This group is responsible for the development of potency assays and functional characterization for cell therapy products. The Associate Scientist will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art potency assays that support the company's portfolio of preclinical and clinical-stage cell therapies. A basic understanding of the design and development of functional assays is preferred, along with knowledge of T cell biology. The position requires close collaboration with potency team members to ensure the development of high-quality functional assays. The role involves assisting in the development of fit-for-purpose potency and/or biological characterization assays for both early- and late-stage programs. The Associate Scientist will work under minimal supervision for routine activities, which include experimental execution based on established protocols, data review, and analysis. Effective organization of findings is essential for timely communication of data, drawing appropriate conclusions, and designing next steps. The position also requires maintaining detailed and timely documentation of protocols, study designs, and results in notebooks. Additionally, the Associate Scientist will be responsible for setting up in vitro functional assays to measure T cell function and will utilize literature and organizational knowledge to solve or troubleshoot basic scientific development-related problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developments of fit-for-purpose potency and/or biological characterization assays for both early- or late-stage programs.
  • Work under minimal supervision for routine activities, such as experimental execution based on established protocols, data review and analysis.
  • Organize findings for effective and timely communication of data, draw appropriate conclusions and design next steps.
  • Maintain notebooks with detailed and timely documentation of protocols, study designs and results.
  • Responsible for setting up in vitro functional assays to measure T cell function.
  • Utilize literature and organizational knowledge to solve/troubleshoot basic scientific development related problems.

Requirements

  • B.S. in biological science, immunology or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience, industrial experience preferred.
  • M.S. with minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, but 2+ years is preferred.
  • 2+ years of direct cell culture experience.
  • Prior experience with cGxP and/or assay development is preferred.
  • Prior experience working as a team member is preferred.
