About the position

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, and we are always looking to build our talent community for Research Scientists. Although we do not currently have an opening, we are interested in learning about your background and encourage you to apply for future opportunities with KLA. Research Scientists are core to KLA's technology, and the role involves researching and testing new optical technologies for wafer inspection implementations. You will be expected to conceive new concepts based on a solid understanding of physics, light, material interaction, and imaging theory. Validating these concepts through modeling, simulations, and experiments is a key part of the job. In this role, you will design and build optical imaging test benches for technology feasibility studies, conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw clear conclusions from multivariable data sets. Collaboration with the engineering team to implement new technologies is also a significant aspect of the position. KLA focuses heavily on innovation, investing 15% of sales back into research and development, and our expert teams work together to tackle complex problems in the semiconductor industry. Life at KLA is dynamic and challenging, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technology development for future KLA tools.
