About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. The algorithm team at TikTok is responsible for developing state-of-the-art computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and multimodality models and algorithms to protect the platform and its users from content and behaviors that violate community guidelines and related regulations. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that TikTok provides the best user experience while maintaining a safe environment for all users. As a new graduate joining this team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of cutting-edge content understanding models aimed at improving the recognition of violated content on TikTok. You will also be responsible for continuously optimizing our distributed model training framework, which is essential for the effective training of large models. The role involves exploring advanced multimodal and computer vision models, as well as applying large language models (LLMs) in various business scenarios, including pre-training and few-shot learning. Responsibilities

  • Develop computer vision model or multimodality model to recognize violation content in TikTok
  • Explore cutting-edge multimodal or computer vision large models (CLIP, COCA, ALBEF, BLIP, Flamingo, ViT-G, ViT-22B, EVA-enormous, etc)
  • Explore the application of LLM in our business scenarios, like pre-training, zero-shot/ few-shot learning, hard case mining, etc
  • Continuously optimize the training framework to better adapt to the training of large models.

Requirements

  • Master or Bachelor degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
  • Related Research Experience in at least one of the following areas: computer vision, multimodality, LLM
  • Proficient with at least one deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thinking skills, communication and collaboration skills

  • Published papers in top AI conferences or journals (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, TPAMI, IJCV, etc)
