About the position

ByteDance is seeking a Research Scientist Graduate specializing in Quantum Chemistry and Machine Learning to join our AI Lab, with a start date in 2025. As a member of the ByteDance Research team, you will carry out interdisciplinary research that includes applying advanced quantum computational methods, such as Post Hartree-Fock and quantum embedding methods, alongside machine learning techniques like Neural Network Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC). You will be responsible for performing theoretical analyses on machine-learning-based quantum chemical models and conducting large-scale quantum chemical simulations utilizing MPI and GPU acceleration. Your work will involve verifying the correctness and practicality of the proposed models, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field. We are looking for candidates who are not only technically proficient but also possess a strong mathematical background and solid programming skills. Successful candidates will be expected to commit to an onboarding date by the end of 2025, and we encourage applicants to clearly state their availability and graduation date in their resumes. Responsibilities

  • Carry out interdisciplinary research in quantum computational chemistry (such as Post Hartree-Fock method, quantum embedding method) and machine learning (such as Neural Network QMC).

Requirements
