About The Position

BPS Bioscience is seeking a Research Scientist I to join their cell biology group in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on supporting production and new product development in the field of cell and gene therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and experience with lentivirus production and CRISPR technology, contributing to innovative solutions for research and advancing scientific discoveries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a Master's degree, or 1+ year with a PhD.
• Extensive hands-on experience in lentivirus production, CRISPR technology, and stable cell line generation.
• Strong background in cell-based reporter assay utilizing luciferase and fluorescence readouts.
• Hands-on experience in one of the following areas is a plus: T cells, NK cells, hematopoietic stem cells, AAV production.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic molecular biology, lentivirus production, and stable cell line generation.
• Generate knock-out and knock-in cell lines using CRISPR technology.
• Contribute to the development of cell and gene therapy reagents.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.
