About the position

The Research Scientist II position at Georgia Tech involves conducting independent and creative research on the study of phase diagrams of halide perovskite solar cells. The role includes mentoring graduate students, overseeing laboratory activities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the development of phase diagrams of halide perovskites.
  • Supervise students and oversee lab functions.
  • Conduct original research to be published in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Assist with proposal writing.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field, and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
  • A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field, and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in materials processing and characterization.
  • Experience in structural characterization by X-ray diffraction, XPS, FTIR, spectroelectrochemistry, synchrotron-based techniques, TRPL/SSPL.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Self-motivation and intellectual independence.
