About the position

The internship at TikTok is designed for students to gain industry exposure and hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning. This program runs for 10-24 weeks and aims to inspire creativity and bring joy through collaborative work and innovative challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conducting development and research on cutting-edge CV, NLP, multi-modality, LLM, generative modeling
• Following SoTA progress in relevant fields and transforming ideas into production
• Life-cycle model development, from model training, deployment, maintenance, to its use in business scenarios.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD Degree
• Experience in one or more areas of computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning
• Solid knowledge and experience with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, MXNet)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields
• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship
• Authors with publications in top-tier venues such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR.
