About the position

The School of Nursing Research Scientist will lead the development and implementation of research studies designed to further the clinical and scholarship goals of the School of Nursing (SON). This role is pivotal in conducting mixed-methods studies aimed at enhancing the understanding of mental health and substance use experiences among healthcare providers and students. The Research Scientist will supervise a multi-generational research team composed of student researchers and will collaborate closely with the dean of the School of Nursing to oversee all aspects of the research studies, including the dissemination of findings and the development of proposals for additional external funding. This position requires a PhD or a related degree in a field pertinent to the research focus, along with experience in developing and leading mixed-methods research and supervising staff and student research teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of research studies in the School of Nursing.
  • Conduct mixed-methods studies to explore mental health and substance use experiences.
  • Supervise a multi-generational research team of student researchers.

Requirements
