Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a Research Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to ongoing research projects and support the development of new products within the Specialty Gas group. You will conduct research and development activities focusing on the synthesis of specialty gases or liquids with high vapor pressures. This position requires critical review of data and preparation of technical reports to communicate findings for method development/validation, continuous improvement, and other projects. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development activities focusing on the synthesis of specialty gases or liquids with high vapor pressures.
  • Critically review data and prepare technical reports to communicate findings for method development/validation, continuous improvement, and other projects.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field with 6+ years' experience; Ph.D. with 2+ years' experience.
  • Synthetic background with experience handling and synthesizing air sensitive chemicals or toxic gases.
  • Proficient with a breadth of relevant methodologies such as absorbance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, residual gas analyzers, mass spectroscopy, and thermal and gravimetric analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills through publications, patents, and oral presentations.
